Sitting Up!

Brady has pretty much perfected sitting up. He still topples over, but can sit for more than 15 minutes on his own. He is growing too fast!

Happy 5 Months, Brady!

What??? 5 months already!

You are getting to be such a big boy. You continue to be smiley and happy 99% of the time. Such a sweet, laid back baby. All we have to do to make you smile is look at you and say something-anything! Oh, and you love peek-a-boo!! You only really fuss if you are hungry or tired or when your teeth bother you. You bottom teeth may be making an appearance shortly!

You can almost sit up on your own- you can sit for about 10 seconds before you topple over. But, you think toppling over is so funny! You also love to scoot backwards. I lay you on the floor and within seconds you are moving. I was kind of hoping for a more stationary baby after having Jackson, but it does not look like that will be the case. You still have no interest in rolling over. Apparently, it is just not for you!

You also continue to love your brother- you love when he acts silly and you always have the best belly laughs when Jackson entertains you. It is the sweetest sound ever!

I think you are starting to recognize your name. And you are starting to play with your toys more. You will hold toys and rattles and immediately put them in your mouth.

You continue to sleep 12 hours at night and no longer use the swaddle. You take 3 naps a day, anywhere from 1.5-2 hours each, such a good napper! You still have 5 feedings a day. And, in the next couple of weeks we will start you on some oatmeal. Man, you are growing too fast.

The Jumper

Brady is trying out a new toy that is on loan from his friend Avery. He seems to like it fine although he has not figured out that he is supposed to jump in it!

Fun at the Zoo

We went to the zoo this morning. The zoo is one of Jackson's favorite places. He always asks to go to the zoo and loves to see all the animals. He loves the elephants, rhinos, snakes, fish, and the sea lion show. Brady just goes with the flow and hangs out. Always a fun family trip.

Happy 4th of July

Our neighborhood has a fourth of July parade every year for the kiddos. It is a parade where the kids really are the parade. This was the first year we participated. A good time was had by all.

Old Friends

Jackson used to share his nanny with a little boy, Lawson- when they were just babies. Lawson and his parents moved to Chicago last year, but recently came back to Denver to visit. It was so great to see all of them. It was lots of fun to see Jackson and Lawson play together again! Hopefully they will move back in a year!

4 Months Old!

Wow- four months old already….just wow.

Four month stats:
Weight: 15 pounds, 7 oz. (55%)
Height: 25 in. (50%)
Head: 17 (75%)





What a big boy. You remain the sweetest little baby and most of the time you just go with the flow. This was a big month for you. You got baptized and Poppy and Grandma Savino and PawPaw and Grandma Aldridge all came to celebrate with you. You also rolled from your belly to your back (on June ??). You of course did this for Erica, your nanny, and have still refused to repeat the performance for mommy. Oh well- we know you can do it. We also took away your 10:00pm feeding so now you sleep for 12 hours at night! Yay!

Here is what you have been up to the last month.

You love:
-your family- you give mommy, daddy and Jackson the biggest smiles. You also giggle all the time. There are so many times that I catch you just watching Jackson and smiling- you do love your big brother. And, Jackson loves you so much! He is constantly giving you hugs and kisses and shares his trucks and animals with you. You two are fun to watch!

- uninterrupted eye contact. You love when you get one on one attention (which is sometimes hard with your brother around!) But, man, when you get that attention you smile so big!
- talking- you have started cooing so much and love when people talk back. It so too cute having a little “conversation” with you!

-the pool- you will sit in your car seat or with mommy and watch all the people at the pool.

You dislike:
- too much tummy time
-being ignored for a long period of time.
- spitting up (oh wait.. that is mommy’s dislike!)

It has been such a great four months little man. We love you!

We had a photographer come over recently to capture some pictures of the family. Brady was pretty serious until she left and then he could not stop giggling. And Jackson would not leave Brady alone until she came and then he wanted nothing to do with kissing and holding Brady. Par for the course, I suppose. But, she did manage to capture some good ones.
