Brotherly Love

Jackson came to meet Brady yesterday and he was so cute with him. He held his baby brother and gave him plenty of kisses. I wonder how long this will last...

Tools

When Grandma Savino (DemDay) was visiting us a couple of weeks ago, she watched Jackson outside playing with all of Dustin's tools. So, she surprised Jackson when she sent him his very own gardening tools. He loves them...thanks DemDay- what a great gift!!

Grandma & PawPaw

Grandma and PawPaw Aldridge came to Denver to take care of Jackson while we are in the hospital. Jackson broke them right in with sidewalk chalk, swinging and walks in the wagon. They are going to be tired by the time we get back!

"Cheese"

This is what you get when you ask crazy toddlers to say cheese.

Oatmeal is so Versatile

Jackson loves playing in his water table at school and they always put something new in the table, like rice and oatmeal. So, I thought I would try it at home. It is still a little cold to put the water table outside, so I put dry oatmeal in the water table. Jackson loved this and played in the table for a while. Thank goodness dry oatmeal is easy to clean up!

Couch Time

Saturday evening Jackson was still pretty tired from the big day at Monkey Bizness. So, we all relaxed a little. Here are Dustin and Jackson watching Elmo- daddy's favorite of course. Sorry it is a little blurry.

And Jackson and mommy relaxing and reading some books. I am going to miss this cuddle time- it happens so rarely already and I am thinking it will continue getting less and less.

Monkey Bizness

One of our friends had a birthday party for their 4 year old little boy at an indoor playground place called Monkey Bizness. Jackson loved all the slides and had so much fun. He played for an hour and that afternoon took almost a four hour nap.

As you can tell Jackson has no fear at all- which scares me a little. Plus, I am not sure who enjoyed playing more- Jackson or Dustin! We will definitely have to go back and play there again!

Corn

After preschool DemDay and I took Jackson to lunch at Chili's. He was tired and not in the greatest mood so I decided I would order corn on the cob- he likes corn and I thought it would keep him occupied. Well, he loved it and ate the whole thing!! It was so funny watching him try to eat the corn. Thanks DemDay for capturing the corn eating on camera.

Paddington

Jackson still loves going to "school" every week. Thank goodness DemDay was in town with a camera because I seem to have gotten lazy about taking pictures!

Here he is playing on the "choo-choo" outside of his classroom. You think that maybe he is getting more teeth with all of that drool??

Here is Jackson playing at the water table with his friends, Anna, Conner and Agnes.

And, carrying around trucks. Jackson absolutely loves trucks and when he finds them he carries them around and does not want to let them go. Jackson even took his truck to play "row row row your boat" with Reed and through the tunnel with him! By the way, he is wet from playing in the water table...not from sweating profusely!

21 Months Old

Jackson is 21 months old today. The time is just flying by. Jackson has been so much fun lately and is continuing to do new things everyday.

So I can keep some memories of this age, here are some things about Jackson at 21 months old:

1. Jackson now repeats what we say so we have to be really careful. His new favorite phrase is "Oh man!" He even adds the right inflection to the phrase. This one was learned after Jackson poured all the fish food into the tank. Thank goodness Dustin just said "oh man!"

2. He is starting to talk and communicate more and can string three words together. He also tries to tell us things he remembers from the day.

3. I love that Jackson knows the hand signals to "itsy bitsy spider", "twinkle twinkle" and his new favorite "twinkle twinkle traffic light" and claps and says "again" when I am done singing.

4. That any time Dustin and I leave, Jackson will give us a kiss and ask for a hug. He also wants hugs and kisses before bed every night.

5. Jackson loves soccer and I think he favorite part is getting hand stamps from his coach at the end of practice. He talks about the stamps for the rest of the weekend.

6. Jackson loves his dogs and pets and hugs Logan and Kylie multiple times a day.

7. Jackson loves to imitate his daddy. His current favorites include doing anything with tools and picking up dog poop! Hopefully he continues to enjoy that task because it is one I never partake in!

8. Jackson continues to love to read and can be found in his bed after nap time and in the morning with 10 or more books in bed with him- books which were not there when he went to sleep.

9. He started sleeping in his big boy bed and is doing great at it. He loves his bed.

10. He loves to run and can be founds playing "red light, green light" by himself. All of the sudden he starts running then yells "stop" and he stops. He does this all over the house. He learned this game at soccer.

11. He loves to dance and that includes what we call arm dancing where he just waves his arms around- it is too cute!

12. He loves his nanny Erica and asks about her everyday.

13. He loves trucks and buses and points them out whenever we are in the car.

14. When we play the "what color is this" game Jackson generally knows the answers.
Jackson knows the colors, blue, green, red, orange and yellow.

15. He loves to swim and play in the water.

16. Jackson loves to play rough with Daddy always comes back for more. However when he is done he yells "all done."

Here are some cute pictures of Jackson at 21 months- his last month as an only child!!
