Some Favorite Gifts

Brady got some great gifts, but I think one of the favorite gifts was a group of animals my mom (Grancy) sent Brady. Brady also got a net full of bugs...also a big hit.

Brady's Birthday Party

We celebrated Brady's birthday today with our friends. I tried to tone down the amount of guests, but it still seems like a ton. Brady had an animal themed birthday. The weather was great and we were able to play outside, which was so great. Brady had a great time celebrating his big two years!

Overall, the party was a success. I cannot believe my baby is two years old!!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Brady

Dear Brady,

You are now two years old, a full-fledged toddler. I have no idea where the time goes, but it seems to be moving so fast right now. You really are the sweetest little boy and you have such a big personality. You smile and laugh all the time. You're full of sunshine and I love who you're becoming.

Sometimes I'd like to turn back time for a day, but it's so exciting to see you at this stage. You surprise us every day with something new you can do, say or understand. You also have quite the sense of humor and are always making everyone around you laugh. One of my favorite things is earing you laugh and I love when you laugh at something you have seen on t.v. Sometimes I would love to get inside your head.

Unlike your big brother, you love to participate in group activities. At school or the library story time you will get up and dance and sing and do all the movements to any given song. You love the rocket ship song and "Old McDonald." You have a love for animals and enjoy putting different animals on the farm, including cheetahs and impalas.

You love your nanny, Megan, and light up every time she comes over. You also love playing with Avery and talk about Megan and Avery, even on the weekends.

You also love your brother and he adores you. He often calls you "My Brady." You two play together well and you love to mimic everything he does. But there are many times where you are beating each other up.

You are beginning to talk all the time and it is fun to hear what you have to say.

You also have a stubborn side. When you are not getting your way at the dinner table you will hit someone just so you can get down and go into timeout.

You are a great eater and a great sleeper. We are beginning to work on potty training and will soon move you to a big boy bed in anticipation of your little sister's arrival.

Brady, you are an absolute joy and angel and we all love you so much. I cannot wait to see what this next year will bring, how you will grow and your personality will develop. And, I can't wait to see what a great big brother you will be!

Happy birthday my sweet boy!

Hiding Spot

There is a little spot behind the couch in the tv room that the boys love to hide and play in. They put their pillow pets, blankets and toys back there and just play.

Today, I found Brady and Dustin back there hanging out.

Beautiful Day

It has been so cold in Denver lately, we were experiencing below freezing temperatures. It has warmed up this last week and the Aldridge boys were excited to enjoy some sunshine.

This morning, after soccer, the boys played outside and helped Dustin in the yard. They also enjoyed some sidewalk chalk art:

Several other neighborhood kids came outside to enjoy the weather and we ended up hanging out in the backyard and playing. It was a really great day! Hopefully the good weather lasts...

Valentine's Day Goodies

Today, Brady and Jackson got a package in the mail from Grandma and PaPa Aldridge. They sent some Valentine's goodies for the boys and as you can tell Jackson was very excited!

I could not get a pictuire of Brady, but he also enjoyed his goodies. Thanks for thinking of the boys.
